A Stewart associate since 1998, Buss joined the title industry over 18 years ago. He has served as underwriting counsel both nationally and for various regions. Currently, he is in Stewart Title Guaranty Company’s Legal Services division as regional underwriting counsel for the western states. He provides the company with specialized expertise in energy (wind and solar), farm and ranch, and water rights while underwriting title transactions throughout the U.S. Buss has also spent much of his career underwriting commercial, large-scale development, resort communities and multi-site transactions.

Buss has a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and a B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Kansas and received his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri School of Law. He is an active member of the Utah State Bar and is a popular speaker for various land title associations and the National Business Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
