HOUSTON (Feb. 7, 2005) - Stewart Title Co. has acquired Texas State Title of Houston, Texas. Existing management and staff will remain with the office.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The office will become a branch of Stewart Title of Houston, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Title Co.
"This acquisition is an example of our ongoing expansion in the Harris County market and also will strengthen our presence in the commercial arena," said E.D. Lester, chairman, Stewart Title of Houston. "This will boost Stewart's market share in Harris County to more than 21 percent."
