HOUSTON (July 9, 2002) -Landata Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp. (NYSE-STC), has named Stephen Otto as senior vice president, chief operations officer (COO). As COO, Otto will assume all administrative and operational responsibilities for Landata, reporting directly to Don O'Neill, group president for Stewart real estate information (REI).
"Steve's broad and diverse experience in both online and system-based information technology was a key factor in our decision to bring him on board," said O'Neill. "In addition, his experience in the governmental and data information sectors is crucial in delivering solution oriented services to our real estate information customers."

Otto brings more than 25 years experience in product development and management for several specialized information technology firms. He most recently was vice president for operations with Hart InterCivic in Austin, Texas, a technology provider of electronic government and election solutions, including the eSLATE electronic voting system. Otto has a Master of Arts degree in management from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Wittenberg University.
