Stewart will miss corporate counsel Tannie Pizzitola

HOUSTON (July 10, 2003) - Tannie Pizzitola, devoted family man and corporate counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Co., died July 8. He was 65.

Pizzitola had worked for Stewart since 1964 and was responsible for all holding company compliance issues with the Texas Department of Insurance, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York Stock Exchange. "Stewart Title mourns his passing," said Malcolm Morris, Stewart chairman and co-chief executive officer. "We will miss Tannie greatly."

Prior to his career with Stewart, Pizzitola worked as a patent attorney for Fulbright & Jaworski. He earned his petroleum and geological engineering degrees from Texas A&M University in 1960 and his law degree from the University of Texas in 1963.

He leaves behind his wife, Sue, two daughters and son, a stepdaughter and a stepson.
